Bristol hosts a Thursday evening parade on the Common with a costume display, police and Legion contingents, and a color guard. A new veterans group the Legion of Guardsmen formed in this town at the State Armory on Wednesday by State Organizer William R Harkin. Bristol becomes Post 9 open to regular reserve armed forces and auxiliary services with eighteen members.
