High School Alumni Adopt Constitution and By-Laws

Bristol Colt High School Alumni Association approved a new constitution and by-laws at a Friday meeting in Colt High School. The document outlines annual meetings and the January officer elections. The group reported on the graduates’ reunion during the 250th anniversary celebration and pledged support for the school athletic teams to Principal Edward J Fitzgerald.

At Gutteras School on Friday afternoon pupils under Miss Mary M Connors presented two plays Modern Knight Theodore Roosevelt and His Best Seller, with students Paul Bruno John Tufarola Fortunato Caruso Frank Campagna Anthony Thomas Antonio Agatrello Elizabeth Trainor Ida Principe John Gray and Antonio Agatiello taking roles and serving as announcer.

District Court Docket Shows Assault and Non-Support Cases

Judge Frank H. Hammill presided over a busy Monday docket in the fifth District Court. Wives accused husbands in two assault and non-support cases while others faced motor vehicle violations and civil matters.

Colt Memorial High School Implements New Telephone System

The Colt Memorial High School used its new interior telephone system yesterday linking classrooms to the Principal's office. The replacement of the old system, installed about 23 years ago, aims to improve service and has been reported as satisfactory during school sessions.

Festival Chorus Omitted This Season

At a Bristol County festival chorus meeting last evening the outlook for resuming rehearsals in the coming months was discussed and it was decided not to resume for the present or until the financial depression improves The low mood may hinder attracting a solid membership of interested singers and the announcement was made at the close of the meeting.

Girl Scouts Camp Overnight Visit to Camp Hoffman

Bristol troop of Girl Scouts toured Camp Hoffman in West Kingston last Saturday at 9 30 am and returned Sunday for their first overnight trip using five autos. Meals were prepared by the scouts and patrols staged entertainment after supper with a hare and hound chase. In charge were Misses Frances Horton Captain Mary Ryan Elizabeth Marz and Virginia LeClair. Armistice Day Parade Names Chief Marshal and Officials

Harold W. Gifford elected Chief Marshal for the Armistice Day parade on November 11. Albert A. Edmonds named chairman with George H Baldwin as vice chair and Harold W. Gifford as secretary. The committee lists sub chairs and members for bands, badges, sports, bell ringing, publicity, automobiles, luncheons, memorials, decor, stores closing, and police. A ten mile marathon is also planned as an athletic event.

Ethier arraigned on assault charge in Fifth District Court

George Ethier pleaded not guilty to assaulting Antonio Caromile after a Saturday dispute over water at 116 Metacom Avenue. Ethier posted $100 bail for his appearance as Caromile testified about the late night knock and punch at their shared home.

The First Congregational Church Christian Endeavor Society staged Elijah in DeWolf Memorial Chapel before a large, satisfied audience. Written by Rev. H. D Graetz with Mrs E Wilbur Mason directing. Trinity Church 56th Annual Harvest Festival

The 56th Harvest Festival at Trinity Church is set for Thursday evening October 23. Rev Fr Nelson Kellogg will officiate and Rev John Crawford of Saunderstown will speak. The church interior will feature fall flowers and a special surpliced choir will perform. Gifts from the festival will aid local charities.
