Trip Across Atlantic a Failure in Airship America
Walter Wellman and five crew members abandoned the airship America after a 72 hour 1000 mile voyage ended in a 30 mile northwest gale. They were rescued by the S S Trent 860 miles east of Cape Hatteras and taken to New York. The airship outfit cost 35000 dollars and Wellman still believes a transatlantic crossing by airship is possible.

Sunday School Board Plans Social Events at Rally Day
The Sunday School Board of State Street M. E. Church met at Mrs. Fred Blaisdell's home on Constitution Street to plan social events and appoint committees. A chafing dish supper, entertainment, and sale are set for Thursday evening November 10 in the church vestry, and Rally Day and thank offering service for Snowoday November 20 were approved. Committees include Supper with Mrs. O. R. Siegel and Miss Blaisdell families, Entertainment with Miss Nicholas and others, and Rally with Fred G. Blaisdell, George A. Richardson, and several helpers.

Congregational Club Social at Chapel with Diverse Performances
The October social of the Congregational Club drew a large crowd in the chapel on Wednesday evening. The program featured piano solos by Marion Sherman and Daniel W Coggeshall, violin solos by Gladys and Vivien Cobleigh, readings by Eva M. Cole and others, and an accompanist. Bristol Man Pleads Not Guilty, Then Guilty on Break In
James F. Malloy changed his plea from not guilty to guilty before Judge Anner in Superior Court on a breaking and entering charge with intent to commit larceny. Bristol police officials recommended clemency, led to probation with a warning that reoffending would bring punishment. Robert H. Fitzgerald was fined $25 and costs on an embezzlement charge.

Funeral for Mrs Albert C Luther at 1 30 PM
The funeral of Mrs Albert C Luther was held at 1 30 PM from her residence at 18 Colina street and was largely attended with relatives from Fall River Taunton and other places. Rev Frank E Talbee of the Nazarene church officiated the services. Bearers were Charles A Luther George H Luther from this town William Luther from Fall River and Frederick A Luther from Warren a grandson. Interment was at North Cemetery.

Obituary of Bernard Riley from Gooding Avenue Family
Bernard Riley died after a three month illness. He was born in this town about 38 years ago, son of Mrs Nora and James Riley. He leaves a widow Bridget Delaney and four children. Funeral tomorrow at 9:00 a mass at St Marys Church and burial in St Marys Cemetery.
