The Republican campaign center at 53 Bradford Street opened with a meeting forming the Hoover and Curtis Club. Judge Frank H. Hammill presided as attendees heard James G. Connolly and Oscar Heltzen address plans for the November election. others expected to speak could not attend. The room is set with campaign furnishings and portraits, and headquarters will be open each afternoon and evening.

Two Accidents at Railroad Yards Reported
Arthur Trudeau of Callan Construction fractured his right leg when a pipe fell at the New York New Haven and Hartford Railroad yards and was taken to Rhode Island Hospital. Joseph Shallow of Bayonne New Jersey injured his right foot after slipping from a beam at the Mount Hope bridge site. Both received treatment from Dr. Alfred M. Merriman.

Order for New Yacht by Newport Patron Joins Class S
The Herreshoff Manufacturing Company received an order for one Class S boat from Mrs. Arthur Curtiss James of Newport. The vessel will race in the lower bay next summer and may enter regattas on the upper bay and elsewhere. It will be the second of its class in Narragansett Bay.
