Ninety-First Birthday of Mrs Mary Hoar Observed at Home
Mrs Mary Gardiner Hoar widow of James Hoar aged ninety one was honored yesterday at her Byfield Street home by her children and grandchildren with flowers and gifts. Born October 15 1832 in Bristol she married painter James Hoar in 1831 and survived to celebrate again. Two sons served in the Civil War and one had his arm shot off. Mrs Hoar remains alert and active, likely to see many more anniversaries.
