Boston Store Blanket Prices and Linens Sale

A historical catalog note lists numerous blankets cushions and linens with varied sizing and borders. Items include cotton wool and wool blends in white gray and brown with red blue yellow borders priced from 45 cents to $5 per pair or piece. Also advertised are comfortables comforters silk caline and quilts with several price points and a general line of fabrics and gents furnishings at right prices.

Special Bristol meeting on liquor license transfers

Bristol town council held a special session Tuesday to consider transferring liquor licenses to Harkness Matteson and E. H. Chadwick. Chadwick’s transfer faced remonstrance from local landowners. petition and plat were presented. The hearing was continued to November 6. Other items included a Union street building removal, King Philip steam engine discuss, Matteson transfer granted to Isaiah Crowley, constable election, patrol staffing, and highway work orders.

Keiths New Theatre bills and militia trophy results

The week at Keiths New Theatre features Press Eldridge and Edwin Boyle with Edwards dramatic company and Biograph pictures. Next week includes Hugh Stanton and Florence Modena plus comic acts, ventriloquist Trevelle, Marionettes, Deweyland parade views, and specialty acts. The State militia team competition at Rumford produced close scores with Company G and Fourth Division Naval Reserve contending for Telegram and Boylan trophies. Olney team claimed the Olney trophy. Individual marks honors went to Ensign W Le Baron Bowen and Seaman Charles Burton Sutherland. Donations to the Children's Home for October include apples, pastries, clothing, shoes, and various goods from multiple donors.
