Fire suspects bound over in Bristol barn blaze case
John Haberlin Charles McCarty and William Taylor faced hearings in Bristol on charges of setting fire to William Pollock's barn on Catherine Street September 28. McCarty and Taylor were bound over for December term with $1000 bail each. Haberlin was committed after failing to secure bail. Witnesses described the blaze, benzine traces, and confessions heard by Captain Morrissey and Chief Hoard.
