It lists cotton blankets heavy white blankets wool blankets gray blankets and mixed fabrics with prices ranging from 45 cents per pair up to 4 to 5 dollars per set. It also markets comfortables table linens quilts English Marseilles quilts and a full line of flannels towelings sheetings wrappers and gents furnishings at set prices.
A low priced grocery ad lists Best Haxall Flour and Best St Louis Flour by the barrel and bag, Best Columbia A Sugar, light brown sugar, yellow beans and pea beans by the peck, rolled oats, graham flour, rye meal and meal varieties with prices. Fresh crackers, beef and mutton offered. vegetables on hand and corned beef specialty noted.
John Haberlin Charles McCarty and William Taylor faced hearings in Bristol on charges of setting fire to William Pollock's barn on Catherine Street September 28. McCarty and Taylor were bound over for December term with $1000 bail each. Haberlin was committed after failing to secure bail. Witnesses described the blaze, benzine traces, and confessions heard by Captain Morrissey and Chief Hoard.
