Mascola Installed as Commander of Kearney Post A L A

Domenic J. Mascola Bristol Public Aid Director was seated as the new commander of Kearney Post No. 6 American Legion at Grand Army Hall. Mrs. Harry Bullock became auxiliary president. Bristol County Courthouse alteration bids opened

Six contractors submitted bids to the State Emergency Public Works Commission for the Bristol County courthouse project in Providence. Peter Martelly of Bristol offered the low bid of 8700 dollars, covering 7250 for repair and 1450 for stucco removal. other bids ranged from 9221 to 15900 dollars, with New General Contracting Co. bidding 6050 without stucco removal. Completion is projected in about two months with a bid opening attended by commission officials and PWA engineers.

Governor Green To Speak At State Firemen Banquet

School Board appoints Helen Condon commercial teacher

The Bristol school board on Mapes recommendation hires Helen A. Condon of Guiteras Memorial junior high as a commercial night teacher at 2.50 per night minus 14 percent to address evening school enrollment. They ratified Michael Securo as evening class instructor and discussed adding an ERA plan adult educator.
