Bristol Uses Half Million for Relief Amid War Time Plans
Taxpayers in Bristol have spent about $500,000 on relief for unemployment and distress over ten years and are asked next Monday to approve an additional $10,000, with a projection of $40,000 to $50,000 more in the next year. The piece argues the current administration failed to reduce the relief burden and questions its ability to organize national defense and industrial coordination, urging a leadership with business sense and investor confidence.
