Critics praise Young Renny but debate its depths in Jalna tone
The column argues that writing about Young Renny is futile as the book stands, praising its perfection and detailing Meg’s broken engagement and the Jalna family return. It notes Adeline, the parrot, and a comic scene, then shifts to William L. Golden’s appointment at Manhattan College, detailing his Bristol origins and Notre Dame career.
