Auto Accident Injures Four People on Griswold Ave
Four people sustained injuries after a car driven by Miss Ruth E O'Brien of 22 Oliver Street lost control on Griswold Avenue east of Ferry Road and crashed into a tree turning on its side. Passengers Edmond O'Brien Mildred Simpson Lena Gladue and Nelson O'Brien were treated at Dr John R Bernardo's office.

Soldiers' Home Visitation by WRC Delights Veterans
The monthly visit of the Soldiers' Home committee of the RFT Department Women s Relief Corps visited the Soldiers' Home on Sunday. Nearly every state corps attended and brought delicacies. Birthday veterans were honored. A program in the sun parlor featured welcomes from Mrs Susan M Sheple and speeches by GAR Newport Commander George Smith and WRC officers. Evora Skinner directed the program with the poem The Unknown Dead and William J Collins sang.

Fifth District Court Sifts Violations Major Motor Vehicle Docket
Judge Frank H. Hammill presided over a Fifth District Court session noting motor vehicle law violations formed the majority of cases.
