St Michael’s Parish Marks 200th Anniversary Service

St Michael’s Church observed the 200th founding of its parish and 100th of the Sunday school with 8 a.m. Holy Communion and 10:30 a.m. service led by Rev. James D Wolf Perry. The day featured a processional carrying cross and national ensign, banners, and candles carried by Sunday school pupils and club members. Evening prayers included an address by Perry and remarks on the church’s early history.

Fighting Fourth Liberty Loan Aims at $400000 Bristol Quota

The Bristol campaign for the Fighting Fourth Liberty Loan focuses on organization and publicity. Henry V. United War Work Campaign Organizes Joint Appeal

A preliminary meeting at the Y M C A last evening formed a United War Work Campaign group. Seven major groups including the YMCA YMCA Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Columbus Jewish Welfare Board War Camp Community Service American Library Association and Salvation Army agreed to unify appeals in a single campaign the week of November. Wallis E Howe named chairman and James F Lavyander secretary as planning continues.

Fifth District Court Fines In Morning Session

William Mahoney was fined 3 dollars and costs by Judge F H Hammill in the Fifth District Court yesterday morning for drunkenness and revelling. Michael Volatato of Providence faced five warrants for illegal sale of intoxicating liquor. cases were continued for two weeks. Other defendants, including Malafronte and Tavares, faced sentences or further proceedings as the docket shuffled.

Funeral for Mrs. Mariancolo Cariglio Held After Spanish Flu

The funeral for Mrs. Mariancolo Cariglio wife of Santo Cariglio who died last Thursday at 4 Usher street from Spanish influenza was held Saturday from her home to the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. A requiem high mass was celebrated by Rev. Joseph Poja with Miss Caroline Maturi singing Pie Jesu at offertory. Prof. Henry F. Donovan presided at the organ. Interment was at St Mary's Cemetery.
