Girl's scalp torn in Narragansett Rubber Co accident
Miss Philomena Peters fifteen worked after school at the Narragansett Rubber Company stitching room when her braided hair was caught in a shaft. Her scalp and left ear were torn off and clothing stripped. She was treated at the factory, then taken to Rhode Island Hospital aided by her sister and Rev. Rebello.

Bristol Town Nationals edge Crescents 13 to 12 in photo finish
The National football team of Bristol Town defeated the Crescents of Providence 13 to 12 at Usher’s field Bristol Neck on Sunday. A second half 60 yard run and a forward pass produced the winning touchdown after the visitors led 12 to 7. Spectators praised Manager Dwyer’s squad as they prepare to face the Narragansetts next Sunday. The Colt Memorial High School team then beat Blackstone 26 to 6 on the common with four touchdowns and two goals. Bosworth’s 75 yard run stood out though the touchdown was ruled no good.
