Town Council Clears Taxes and Funds Water Needs
At a Wednesday meeting President Benjamin F. Lindemuth announced about $3000 in back taxes had been paid with about a balance of unpaid taxes remaining. He said delinquents would get another chance before legal action. The council discussed Bristol and Warren Water Works upgrades on Roma street Coggeshall street and Thompson avenue. An ordinance was adopted requiring licenses to keep swine in the compact town area to take effect February 1 1916.

Break in at Vaccaro Store Led to Arrests in Warren
Salvatore Tortora, 21, was arrested for breaking and entering the Vaccaro store at 166 Bradford Street on November 18. Police found a loaded revolver on him. Tortora pled not guilty in Fifth District Court and was held on $500 bail. Frank Ferrara, 16, confessed Tortora stood guard while Ferrara entered the store. A large piece of meat was stolen. Ferrara was returned to Lockandsset School for Boys on parole.

Almost A Centenarian Mrs Cornelia Munro To Enter 100th Year
Mrs Cornelia Munro of the Home for Aged Women on Franklin street will enter her 100th year tomorrow and is the town’s oldest resident. Born in Providence she is the daughter of late Robert and Hope Man chester and was twice married. Her first husband John H Slade died in Providence and her second husband John F Munro died twelve years ago. She has one son Charles H Slade of Providence. The second oldest in town, Mrs Mary Bowen at the Home, will be 98 if she lives until February.

Otis Wood Injured in Franklin Street Yard Cart Accident
Otis L. Wood suffered a severe foot injury while loading a cart at the Franklin street freight yards of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad to the National India Rubber Company. He slipped while boarding and the heavy load passed over his right foot. He was treated by Dr. A. M. Merriman and remained at home on Metacom avenue as doctors awaited X rays to determine the full extent of the damage. The injured area was already markedly swollen.
