Victory Sing at Colt Memorial High Draws Large Crowd
A large audience filled Colt Memorial High School for the Victory Sing yesterday afternoon. Rev. Frank Damrosch Jr. directed the program with students divided by voice, Council President Wallis Howe presiding, and Mrs. B MacDougall at piano. Sergt. Claude Murray, wounded at Chateau Thierry, spoke on Red Cross work before the national anthem. He hopes for more such meetings and a future community concert.

Mrs John C Springer reports word from her son Lieut Franklyn H Springer of the 42d Division 165th Infantry that he has been wounded again in France though not severely He was wounded in the hip during a drive before Sedan and is at a base hospital Lieut Springer a Colt Memorial High School graduate previously received the Croix de Guerre and was severely wounded at the Ourcq River battle He has since returned to the front as a member of the Rainbow Division

Fuel Restrictions Relaxed on December 2 for Coal Use
Beginning Monday December 2 restrictions on store street and window lighting are cancelled and institutions under previous limits may buy broken and egg size anthracite coal. Purchasers must sign a written statement to the local fuel committee claiming it is impracticable to use bituminous coal.

Town Council Grants Sixteen Liquor Licenses in Special Session
A Tuesday special session approved one wholesale and fifteen retail liquor licenses for six months from Dec 2 to July 1 1919.
