Navy hosts Bristol County children for Thanksgiving aboard Yosemite
Rear Admiral Gilbert C Hoover and Captain James Benson organized a Thanksgiving visit for 50 Bristol County youths to the U S S Yosemite at Melville. The group toured the ship after a turkey dinner and bus transit provided by local officials and civic leaders. Roast dinners were also served to residents of the U S Soldiers Home and several local homes for the elderly, with services and games closing the town’s holiday events.
