Accidental Shooting Injures Ralph Kinder in Hope Street Home
Ralph Kinder twenty four was accidentally shot Sunday evening when an old 44 calibre revolver discharged in a room at his Hope street home. The bullet struck near the right shoulder, near the neck and close to the lung. Doctors treated him and he was taken to Rhode Island Hospital for X rays and possible bullet removal. Kinder, a World War veteran, breathed easily and doctors saw no serious outcome.

Darkness Falls Across Rhode Island as Power Fails
A severe rain storm left much of Rhode Island and parts of Massachusetts in darkness Saturday evening around 5 30. Short circuits in underground cables cut power to big Eddy street plant in Providence halting electric lights. Some towns, including Bristol and Warren, received light later while others remained dark for hours as emergency connections restored service.

Alder 25th Wedding Anniversary Celebration in Bristol
Mr and Mrs Frnest F Alder hosted their 25th wedding anniversary at their Hope Street home on Friday. Guests from Warren Fall River Tiverton and Bristol attended. A whist game and chicken salad supper followed. The couple married Nov 23 1898 by Rev Francis Newcomb at St. Luke's East Greenwich. They have resided in Bristol since. Mr Alder is foreman at the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company carpentry shop. Mrs Alder is a Past President of Babbitt Relief Corps and Vice Grand of Reba Lodge.

Fatal auto accident claims Warren school head
Harold R. Jones 31 of Warren died Friday at Truesdale Hospital Fall River after a car driven by LeRoy G Staples Warren Superintendent of Schools struck him on South Man Street Warren as he wheeled a wheelbarrow of rubbish. The accident followed a glare from an oncoming car and an initial police inquiry left Staples free on his own recognizance. Funeral services were held at his residence and he was buried at North Cemetery.
