Bristol Sewer Commission Elects Officers at Friday Meeting
The Bristol Sewer Commission held elections naming Henry W. Pacheco plant superintendent succeeding Louis Tortorice, with Tortorice becoming chairman and George R. Fish reappointed secretary. The Manchester Perry Street sewer extension was completed by Py & Lastie. Beginning January 1, 1960, drain layers must obtain a license from the Sewer Commission, renewed yearly at no charge. A special meeting on Friday December 4 will begin work on the 1960 budget for the annual town meeting after budget committee review.

Barrington Council urged to study Bristol Water Co purchase
The League of Women Voters of Barrington asks the town council to appoint a committee to investigate public purchase of the Bristol County Water Co and to sponsor enabling legislation in the U S General Assembly. The group suggests buying Barrington assets or the entire system by three county towns. This is the third such request in 18 months.

Capone elected chair of Bristol Republican town committee
