Luigi Casentino was taken into custody after a Bristol town sighting by Raymond Cavallaro’s son. A renewed manslaughter warrant dated Feb 24 1915 followed Cavallaro’s death on Feb 22 1915 from injuries after a Feb 13 1915 Bradford Street fight. Casentino pleaded not guilty and posted bail for a Fifth District Court hearing.
Babbitt Woman's Relief Corps plans are set to present 13 flags for the Gulleras Memorial School at Grand Army Hall Friday at 8 pm. Silk flags cover classrooms and a larger bunting flag will fly on the school grounds. Attendees include School Committee leaders, Town Council, the American Legion, G A R, Boy and Girl Scouts, and the Rhode Island Relief Corps.

Joseph Bruno of this town goes on trial in Superior Court Providence before Judge J Jerome Hahn for the Oct 6 shooting death of Anthony E Medeiros in the rear of Bruno’s 157 Bradford Street restaurant. The jury heard evidence after a scene visit and includes ten Providence residents and others from Woonsocket Cranston and Burrillville.
Troop 5 Bristol the youngest Boy Scouts of America unit in town celebrated its second anniversary with a Buddy Dinner at Trinity Parish House Officers and members dined with their Buddies and committee guests Candles crepe paper and flags decorated the rooms Deputy Commissioner George R Fish presided as toastmaster Remarks followed by games in the upper hall ending with closing ceremonies.
In yesterday’s Fifth District Court Judge Frank H Hammill ordered Joaquim Sinen to pay Marion $5 weekly for wife and child support, with the case continued for three months. Other matters included Antonio Coreira’s intoxication charge continued one week, James Fragosa’s building defacement case continued one week, and two civil actions Nicola Gennari vs Domenico Colasanti continued one week and Peter Barboza vs Mariano Medeiros continued two weeks.
The local post office will observe Thanksgiving with closures for Registry and Postal Savings Departments. Mails dispatched at 8:15 am and received at 6:50 and 7:35 am will be boxed. One street letter box collection at 7 am. Stamp and General Delivery close at 9 am. Lobby opens 7 am to 6 pm. Carriers’ patrons must notify by 7:30 tomorrow evening.
