Drunken Driving Cases Before Court
In the Fifth District Court yesterday Judge Frank H. Hammill heard two cases on drunken driving and multiple motor vehicle offenses. Defendants Kav anjaugh Ferreira and others faced fines ranging from 2 to 100 dollars plus costs for operating under the influence and related violations.

O. T. Gilmore, Brown University counsellor, spoke on Youths Problems as Related to Religion at the Congregational church. He said postwar taboos faded and youths seek core religion through belonging and fellowship, while respecting individuality and judging character. Cottage on Plaza Plat Destroyed by Fire
A suspected incendiary blaze destroyed a residence on the Plaza Plat south of Bristol Highlands Friday night. Discovered shortly before 9 oclock, flames engulfed the cottage as a northwest bay wind fanned the fire. Fire crews and motor apparatus arrived too late to save the building, which belonged to the Narragansett Electric Lighting Co. Chemicals and booster tanks protected nearby structures due to lack of hydrants in the area.
