Progress continues on laying water pipes to link Echo Lake with the Bristol and Warren system. Dr Swartz approves the water quality and warns towns to conserve. Echo Lake supply will ease shortages in Warren and Barrington, while Kirkemuit water remains unreliable and Bristol may see no immediate change. He hopes the New York Yacht Club accepts under the club rules rather than the International cup rules, which he says would give him no chance to win. If accepted, a defender will likely be built in Bristol.
