Two separate crashes recorded with injuries. Victor Almeida 39 of 49 Oliver Street and Charles Baker 42 of Newport collide on Metacom Avenue as Baker attempts to avoid another vehicle leaving Mt Hope. Left front of Almeida damaged. One concussion possible and one elbow fracture noted. A second crash at Hope and Franklin streets injures Frank Rawson 45 and George Gladue 59. Gladue sustains a fractured elbow and possible brain concussion while Rawson’s car shows extensive front end damage. Both victims taken to Dr C Paul Bruno’s office then Providence Veterans Hospital.
A truck driven by Roy A. Ellin, 16, of Warren, was seriously damaged when it tipped over on Asylum road. The vehicle listed to Royal Chain and Findings, Inc., Warren, travelling east, went left and fell onto its side.
