Mite Society of the First Baptist Church held its annual meeting Tuesday evening with Rev A W Barrett in attendance. A large turnout heard reports showing active female church work and a year with substantial contributions including 172.07 raised toward church debt. Parsonage improvements were completed with kitchen repainting papering and a hardwood floor. Officers were unanimously reelected: Mrs A W Barrett President, Mrs Edward Harper Vice President, Mrs Walter Lawton Secretary, Mrs Fred Hodgdon Treasurer, Mrs Charles Lisccomb chairman of the work committee. Refreshments followed and the outlook for the coming year was hopeful.
