Bristol School Committee Considers Sanitary Drinking Fountains

The Bristol School Committee discussed installing sanitary drinking fountains in public schools. Last night the secretary was told to obtain prices and an exhibit was set up in the Byfield building basement. Various staffing and budget items were approved, including retirement fund funds and textbook purchases, with overall expenses nearing $21,461.40.

Obituary for Mrs. Ida M Cole of Newport and Bristol ties

Mrs Ida M Anne Cole wife of George M Cole formerly of Bristol died at 5 Gould Street Newport after prolonged illness and a paralysis stroke. Funeral held at home attended by friends. body to be taken to White River Junction Vermont for burial. She was 41 or 42, survived by husband three brothers two sisters, no children. The Coles lived in Bristol sixteen years, moved to Newport a year ago where he is a machinist at the Training Station.
