Bloodmobile May Stay Here For Two Days In Bristol

Dr. D V A Capone reports Bristol may extend Red Cross Bloodmobile stay to two days to meet a 286 pint armed forces quota. Charter Commission Petition Drive Advances

Over 400 signatures collected for a Bristol town charter commission petition. A town meeting appointed panel tallied signs at the Bristol Macaroni Co offices and found about 100 more are needed to meet legal requirements. The group plans to secure 200 additional names in a few days and then ask the town council to call a taxpayer vote on whether a commission should be appointed to draft a charter.

Powers studied in California and New York and has performed with major orchestras under Mitropoulos Koussevitzky Singer and others. she owns the 1711 Earl of Plymouth Stradivarius.

Olson Injured in Providence Car Accident

Kenneth Olson aged 41 of 223 Hope Street suffered a broken leg after being struck by a car on Eddy Street in Providence. He was admitted immediately to Rhode Island Hospital following the incident on Wednesday.
