Oliver H. Perry son of Charles W. Perry of New Haven writes from Fort Totten after his 102d Infantry battalion sailed and failed to reach France. He recalls the march from Camp Yale, a storm at sea, engine failure, near capsizing, and return to New York and Fort Totten with vivid detail of the voyage and relief at survival.

Red Triangle Campaign Seeks Bristol Quota Lift

Bristol reports progress on the Red Triangle drive for soldiers welfare with a $500 000 state quota and Bristol share around $5 000. Through last night $4 280.50 was pledged at the Y M C A by Bristol teams, while Col H Anthony Dyer urged greater effort to defeat apathy and support the national cause. The Warren and Bristol coordination lists local organizers, captains, and assistants for the effort.

Mrs Theresa Capezzano Dies Suddenly At Home

Mrs Theresa Capezzano, 62, died suddenly Wednesday morning at 65 Asher Avenue from heart disease. She leaves sons and daughters. Funeral held today at 9 from Church of Our Lady of Mt Carmel with Rev Joseph Poja officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery.
