Armistice Day Celebrations Dazzle Town Parade Crowd
The sixth Armistice Day observance exceeded prior celebrations with a long parade through town, crowds from Warren and nearby towns, and a near Fourth of July scale program. Bertram W Wall led 40 marshals as pomp filled the day from a church chimes concert to flag raising, with 250 in line from multiple posts and several bands. A 1 pm football game saw Warwick defeat Colt Memorial 31-0, followed by athlete events and races won by Barrington and Bristol competitors. The sports committee was John W Flynn, William A. Francis, Frederick E. Garvin, and Elmer G Maxfield.
