Legion Speakers Urge Adequate National Defence Training Youths
Two former American Legion commanders spoke in Bristol stressing preparedness and a strong defence including training youths for emergencies. Charles L Wooley spoke at Colt Memorial High School and Ralph S Mohr at the Taft School Club urging military readiness and youth training. The Taft club voted to donate to the Red Cross and library fund and planned a gift box for Hindman Settlement School while by laws were proposed. A youth program included a tableau and recitations with soprano performances and piano accompaniment.
