A large audience of pupils enjoyed a musical play and tableaux A Trip to Story Book Land written by Miss Jessie Molasky and Miss Margaret F Nerone. Flaming cross uproots on church lawn after election night
A large eight foot cross with six foot arms was planted and set ablaze on St Mary's Church lawn Tuesday morning. Two men exited a Wood Street auto near State Street Apolo Miles, and the cross was dragged into the street before police and firemen arrived. Francesco Cirillo and Manuel de Costa Mendes extinguished the blaze with water.
