The Bristol Female Charitable Society held its annual meeting on October 7, 1915 at 3 p.m. at Mrs. E. L. Babbitt’s home. Rev. Dr. G L Locke led devotional services. New officers elected include First Directress Mrs. Sarah E Spooner Second Directress Mrs. Hannah W Drury and Treasurer Miss Anna R Thompson.

ANOTHER STORE BROKEN INTO IN WOOD AND FRANKLIN DISTRICT

The Easterbrooks grocery at Wood and Franklin was broken into Friday afternoon. Charles Bacon reported the incident to police who, with Chief Dwyer and Captain Goff, found three boys who admitted guilt. One entered the shop while others watched. The youths had juvenile court history and one carried a bunch of keys. Easterbrooks is in Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.

Soldiers' Home Visit By St Marys Parish Singers

About 25 young people from St Marys parish including choir members and Edward F Christie orchestra visited the Soldiers Home Recreation Hall for a benefit program. The Sisters of Mercy of St Marys parish planned and conducted the event featuring orchestra numbers, choral selections, solos by Luise Malafront, Agnes Ryan, and Downey, and a closing address by Edward F Christie.

Boy Sustains Fracture In Bicycle Collision On Hope Street

Alfred Renaud Jr. riding a bicycle taken without permission collided with a Herreshoff Co automobile on Hope Street Friday afternoon. He suffered a left leg fracture and bruises. Driver Harold Blease was cleared by witnesses. The boy was treated at home and the fracture was reduced on Sunday.
