Relief Committee Improves Guiteras Memorial School Field

Unemployment Relief Fund workers cleared underbrush and trees at the Guiteras Memorial School field behind the building. They dug drainage ditches along High street to Wood and toward the Creek and are building a south side sidewalk using discarded cinders. Preliminary survey by Bristol and Warren Water Works staff supported the project. Local volunteers supervise the effort with donations of trees from Frank Garcia. The group also removes an unsightly East State street dump with highway department cooperation.
