NROTC program opens for high school seniors deadlines
High school seniors and graduates may apply for Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps by November 1 with a competitive examination on December 9 for midshipman appointments. The program funds tuition and books, pays a $600 annual allowance, and provides summer cruises while earning a regular commission after four years of college. Other items include a Catholic Women’s Convention note with speakers and a Mass at the Cathedral of SS Peter and Paul for Pope John XXIII’s birthday observance.
