The OCALASS branch hosted a state gathering Tuesday with about 110 attending. Rhode Island division leaders and local members honored guests, including state president Bauiford representative Mrs Aby Bell, with speakers and a reception.
The D of I convention will feature pictures of past events shown at 8 p.m. in the hall. Mona Corso will display images from her Italy trip, with more plans for an upcoming sale. Marie Vermette chairs, and hostesses Rose Monio and Emily Belancik assist.
The Altar Society of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church will hold its documentary meeting Wednesday night at 8 in the school auditorium, due to the election. Hostesses are Mrs Frances Pagnano Mrs Lillian Pasqua and Miss Josephine Pante. Members will receive Holy Communion in a body at the 8:30 a.m. Mass Sunday.
The Mother's Club of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church sponsors a spaghetti and meatball supper on Thursday evening, Nov. 8, in the school auditorium from 5 to 8. Adults and children may attend. tickets from Mrs. Joseph Vorro or Mrs. Steven Mascena. A long list of committee members is noted, with a meeting scheduled Monday at 8 p.m. in the school auditorium.
The Rhode Island nursing schools host open house programs in November to recruit students. Events span Roger Williams General Hospital Newport Hospital Memorial Hospital Pawtucket Pembroke College Rhode Island Hospital University of Rhode Island and Our Lady of Fatima Hospital School of Practical Nursing with varied times from November 13 to November 21.
