Old Time Thriller Next Presentation by BTA Entertainment

The Bristol Train of Artillery Entertainment Association plans a June 12 debut of Gold in the Hills at Guiteras Memorial Junior High auditorium. Frank L. Doran directs a three act melodrama featuring farmer daughter Nell Stanley and villain Richard Murgatroyd with Bowery dance hall scenes and a long cast led by Margaret Nerone and Aida Connery.

Side Show Feature at Bristol Girl Scout Fair

The Bristol Girl Scout Council will host a county fair on Saturday June 8 on Hope Street south of the Reynolds House. A sideshow starring seven senior scouts will impersonate wild man snake charmer and other acts, with F Reginald Dimond performing wit. Misses Dorothy Bruno Peggy Math ewson Mary Clark Peggy Connors Eunice Marshman Ruth azeldine and Dorothy Petrie are listed among performers. An exhibition of inanimate pets and a Girl Scout competition will also be featured with a surprise in store for attendees.

Mrs Perry Honored at Bristol Garden Club Luncheon

Mrs William W Perry president of the Bristol Garden Club was surprised with a luncheon on May 28 at Mount Hope Farm marking the club's eighth anniversary and her ninth year in office. A purse and engraved silver compact were presented. The event featured a tour of historic flower gardens and farm points with floral decorations led by Miss Agnes Herreshoff.

Portland veterans, patriotic groups, and hundreds gathered for ceremonies at North Cemetery, Burnside Memorial, and Bristol harbor with a full day of marches, tributes, and a final collation at Grand Army Hall.

Memorial Day address on Americanism at Colt Memorial High

Bertram W. Wall National Executive Committeeman of the American Legion spoke to Colt Memorial High School students and faculty about honoring fallen soldiers and preserving American ideals.
