Bristols Defeat King Philips In Memorial Day Tilt
The Bristols routed King Philips 28 to 6 on Memorial Day at the Common in a game marked by King Philips late pitching woes and several fielding errors. Bristol hitters, led by Tucker and Cady, exploded in the eighth inning as 13 batters came to the plate and 10 runs scored. Perkins pitched steadily for Bristol with good support, while King Philips, hampered by unreturned pitchers and mis plays, never recovered after a rough fourth inning.
