Mothers Club Treat Shows The Lottery Man
Bristol Mothers Club staged The Lottery Man at Pastime Theatre with full audience. Notable performances included Edward Fuller as Jack Wright and Miss Stockard as Lizzie. Intermission gift presentation honored Mrs. A M Merriman, with roses from club officers. Lafayette Orchestra provided music and audience sang America. Cast list follows the program.

Superior Court Verdicts and Caseload in Bristol County
In Bristol County Superior Court Judge Barrows presided as juries returned verdicts totaling damages to plaintiffs in several cases. Verdicts awarded $20 to John Gomes against Ernest Ornellos and $130.95 to James F Lavander for Eugene I. McClair v Richard H Dunbar was passed, while Wiliam J West v James D West yielded a defendant verdict. A non suit was granted in Mary F King v James D West. The Mary F King v James Wrest case went over to December term. James Landruopolo v Gaetano Espinosa resulted in a plaintiff verdict for $30 for crop damages from cows in 1915. Frank Roderick v Luig Romano awarded $62.10 to the plaintiff on contract and book account. Manuel Veras, Frank Moura, and Frank G Moura v Manuel V Pimental were passed. Court adjourned at 4 o clock Wednesday.

Bristol meets Phillipsdale in town tomorrow with Garvin and Bottomley behind Bristol and Munsell and Mc Quade for Phillipsdale. The 115 Consolidated train carries the teams. Memorial Day features two games with Bristol facing Warren in the morning and the Esmonds visiting Bristol in the afternoon with Tom Hall and J Hall of Brown University on the Esmonds’ battery. Colts beat Warren High 17 to 6 on the common, Haines and Baker starring for the Colts.

LeBaron Carleton Colt son of United States Senator LeBaron B Colt and vice president of the National India Rubber Company died at his home after injuries from a car crash the prior Thursday night Chesebrough was killed in the same accident Col Callan survived Colt had been rescued from the bay after the runabout plunged over a sea wall into high tide waters He had recently recovered enough to return home but succumbed to toxic symptoms and lung injury despite medical care He left a wife three children and his parents in Washington and had led the company through rapid expansion with thousands of employees and large new buildings
