Attleboro Defeats Bristol In Tight Baseball Showdown

Attleboro defeated Bristol 4 to 1 after a seventh inning rally. Hennessey starred with a home run and a three bagger, but Bristol squandered chances with careless baserunning and missed hits on curves. McGinley handled the game well for Attleboro, as Carrier struggled with control. Time one hour fifty minutes. Umpire A Witherell.

District Court Fines and Fares In Bristol Case News

Joseph Sousa was fined 20 dollars and costs by Judge O L Bosworth for reveling after police warned him to go home following a disturbance caused with his brother and others from a Bradford street saloon two Saturdays ago. Dennis Ferarra was found guilty of bicycling on the sidewalk and referred to a Probation Officer. Joseph Booth alias of Warren sought relief from drought in Bristol, was escorted to a haven of rest after a night on Hope street, with a 2 dollar fine and costs. The Kakas Brothers case against Mabel E Tillinghast was defaulted, Maria Ammoral was found not guilty of assaulting Manuel Cabral’s son. Greek fisherman Charles Jamiel pleaded guilty to possessing four lobsters under legal size and four short laborers, posted 190 dollars bond, arraigned before Justice Peck, then clerk Lonergan, paid 24 dollars 15 cents in fines.
