The Men’s Club of St Michael’s church elected Wesley Gladding president at the annual meeting in the parish hall. Providence policewoman Miss Josephine Reardon was guest speaker and a spare ribs and sauerkraut supper followed.
Bristol American Legion Auxiliary announces Poppy Days will be held Thursday and Friday May 25 and 26 to raise funds for veteran rehabilitation. Memorial poppies are made by disabled veterans in hospitals nationwide and worn to honor war dead. Local volunteers assist in distribution and all proceeds support auxiliary welfare programs.
