Correction to Phoenix article on King Philip Fire Company history
A Bristol Rhode Island reader submits a correction to the Phoenix about local fire company origins. The Hydraulion Engine Company predates King Philip, organized 1843 versus 1848. King Philip 1848, not 1846. Joseph Gladue joined 1903 and became foreman in 1911, not 192 years earlier. Wilfred Guevremont served 13 years as first assistant foreman, not 24.
