Bristol wins 11 to 1 as they score six runs in the first inning on heavy hitting and miscues by Riverpoints. Fredette homered and struck out twice as Bristol’s hitters dominate Ferrish. Demara Offered to Play for Bristol Team

Letter from Geo. Guinan to the editor explains Demara was the first asked to join Bristol, but he declined to play here and preferred the Mill League. Guinan says Demara sent a boy to offer, then says if he will stay all season and not leave for hot weather, they would be glad to have him.

Warren Policeman Disappears After Bristol Incident

Warren police officer Peter McGeary was found in a muddled state near Rawson & Easterbrooks on Wood Street Bristol yesterday morning. Driver John Callan helped him home as McGeary asked to be taken to Warren. Floyd Huestis assisted with a ride in an automobile. Warrentown Council members investigated the alleged Sunday duty absence and a council meeting will review the case.

Celebrate Golden Wedding of Mr and Mrs Spencer Rounds

Mr and Mrs Spencer Rounds observed their 50th wedding anniversary in a quiet gathering last Friday evening. Their children and grandchildren attended as Rev Hos Shepard of the Congregational Church officiated the May 18 1860 ceremony. Mrs E A Gardner of Warren, Rounds sister, penned a poem for the occasion and Ka Haockley played piano while A Rounds played violin and mandolin. The couple received several handsome gifts.
