A large Pastime Theatre audience enjoyed a breezy breach of promise mock trial titled Widow Jerusha Ray Perkins versus J G Birtwistle. Col Newton led the defense. Judge Leahy presided with local humor and wit. verdict found the defendant guilty for a nominal damages award of 3 dollars 48 cents.
