Flowers stolen in door yard raid shock Bristol resident
Henry M Meiggs woke Saturday to find his door yard tulips and hyacinths ripped from beds. He traced flowering sprigs along Pearse avenue to Church street toward Mt Hope avenue but found no clue. He warns such yard raids are common in Bristol and calls for harsh punishment to deter others.

Tent Show Delays and Wet Grounds Halt Performances
The Sig Sautelle and Oscar Lowande tent show played on Wood street grounds with fair afternoon attendance and full evening seats. Transportation issues prevented several ponies and musicians from arriving, causing a slip and a missed bareback ride, and side show attractions were canceled due to soft ground. School Committee Installs Subcommittees and Elects Executive Group
Rear Admiral John R. Edwards chaired the monthly School Committee meeting.
