Fourth of July Committee Decides High Street Block Dance
The Bristol Fourth of July Committee on Friday approved moving the annual block dance to High street from 9 to 12 Saturday night July 3 after Anthony S. Thomas offered $100 for expenses. Joseph Rego Silvia of Metacom Avenue Bristol was charged with operating a car not properly registered and driving without a license after Barrington police stopped him Saturday night. He pleaded guilty at a Fifth District Court session in Warren and was fined 20 dollars plus costs for lack of registration and 15 dollars plus costs for driving without a license.

Theft from four cars after armory dance on Burton Street
Octave LeClair reported thefts from four automobiles parked on Burton street after a dance at the State armory. Sixteen Federal fire a id pouches a blanket robe and accessories were stolen. The ignition systems were destroyed and repairs delayed for over an hour for attendees from Providence and Centredale while Chief Kelley investigates.

First Communion Masses At Mt Carmel And St Marys
One hundred twenty seven children from parishes attended the 8 oclock Mass at Our Lady of Mt Carmel for their first holy communion. At St Marys Church a 9 oclock Mass saw 40 children, 20 boys and 20 girls, receive their first communion with a sermon from Rev Joseph Poya.

Bristol School Votes to Discontinue Agricultural Course
The Bristol School Committee voted to end the agricultural program at Colt Memorial High School after the current term. A seven year report showed costs over 12 000 with only 35 pupils enrolled and 3 graduates, one farmer. The committee cited lack of interest and recommended dropping the course.

Get-Together Supper Final Men’s Session at YMCA
The final men’s get-together supper of the season will be Thursday at 6:30 in the YMCA building. The ladies committee led by Mrs Colin T Holm will provide a bountiful supper.
