Two Day Observance Marks Anniversary at Congregational Church
The 275th anniversary of the First Congregational Church featured a two day observance with a patriotic morning service, an 11 o’clock congregation, and a Sunday afternoon service. The R I Congregational Conference held its 148th annual meeting alongside the events with Rev Douglas Horton as preacher. The historical exhibit was prepared by the historical committee led by Herbert B Burnham Jr. and a dinner for delegates took place Saturday night in the DeWolf Room.
