Local Portuguese residents and neighbors joined a Sunday Ecce Homo procession in Bristol after services at St Elizabeth's Church. Rev. Manuel Barros led the high mass with Rev. Agust Furtardo and Rev. Fr. Reese assisting. thousands lined sidewalks for a colorful afternoon procession featuring altar boys, Holy Angels Sodality, and Holy Name Society members, with mementos of the crucifixion carried by children and parish groups.

Paull Named to Town Council Presidency After Surprising Vote
Prescott B Paull a local business man bank director and Democratic leader was elected Friday to fill the council presidency vacancy caused by William Ange sine’s resignation. The council plans to meet tonight to name supervisors select polling places for the May 18 special election and possibly sign the town treasurer and tax collector bonds. The council also passed a sympathy resolution for Capt James Wo Golf the police officer who died on duty and approved sending flowers and a funeral notice.
