Donnelly Addresses Bristol Rotary Club on NYA and counseling
Peter E. Donnelly, director of the NYA division, told Bristol Rotary members that school counselling helps students adjust to the environment and select suitable courses. He cited a 1936 census showing 23,000 youths ages 16 to 25 in the state, with 10,000 never having held a job, and described NYA programs including student aid, work projects, recreation, and vocational guidance. He warned the program’s duration is uncertain and urged club support for the Bristol Twilight league.
