Three youths guilty of simple larceny in district court
Joseph Quberillo Angello Cherillo and Pasquale Palumbo were found guilty of simple larceny and fined $20 and costs by Judge Bosworth. The case involved lead pipe valued at $8 stolen from Morris Brothers cottages on April 14. Witnesses included Morris, Blackburn the fruit peddler, Police Chief Morrissey, and several neighbors. The defendants claimed innocence, asserted alibis, and denied selling pipe to a junk dealer. The court convicted all three and ordered fines and costs. Palumbo appealed.

Questions for the Council on bids for town work
A Bristol reader questions why town projects above 100 dollars were not bid openly and why Warren workers did repair work on the King Philip fire house. They allege Bristol contractors were bypassed and question if local favoritism or council ties influenced the winning bid. A council decision to award the old town hall steeple work is cited with higher out of town bids versus a locally bid option.
