Providence youth drives car onto railroad tracks
Joseph Battista, 21, of 830 Atwell's avenue Providence, operated a coupe at 1230 o'clock yesterday morning and drove onto tracks south of Franklin street station. One front wheel broken, rear mud guards smashed. Police report two occupants, a man and a woman, later only Battista remained. He claimed to be moving west on Franklin and planned to turn north on Thames Street but became confused. The car was towed for repairs.

School Teacher Honored In Byfield Farewell Party

Special Meeting Called on Fire Apparatus Purchase
Henrys W. Peterson, president of the Town Council, calls a special meeting of the Council and Board of Fire Engineers for tomorrow night to decide on buying two new fire apparatuses.
