The Bristol cornerstone laying for Colt Memorial High School in 1906 drew a thousand children’s songs and town-wide celebration. Col. Theodore DeWolf Colt offered 40 000 toward site and building costs, later funding upkeep, with total outlays near a quarter of a million dollars. A copper box in a marble cornerstone reportedly contains a Bible, poems, genealogies, school papers, and town records.

Workers Urged To Make Cancer Drive Returns

Colt Loses First Game to St Raphael in 5-1 Tilt
