John Jesse Barboza, 88, Bristol resident for 50 years, died Wednesday at his daughter's home after a long illness. Born August 5, 1888 in St Michael Azores, son of John and Mary Barboza, he came to Bristol in 1902 and worked at National India Rubber Company until 1923. He leaves daughters Mary Peters and Lena Ferreira, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. Funeral from J. E. Connors Funeral Home at 9:15 am with a 10 am Requiem at St. Elizabeth's Church, burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
